Dr. Schuyler Thornton is a New York City based flutist, teacher, and arts administrator. She recently completed a 4 year, 1000+ performance tour as flutist with the Les Misérables North American Broadway tour. Schuyler is Lecturer of Flute & Director of Flute Ensemble at Muhlenberg College.
Additionally, Dr. Thornton maintains an active private studio and is the
Membership Secretary of the New York Flute Club and Treasurer of the New Jersey Flute Society.
She demonstrates that great talent is not only found in the shaping of musical phrases, technical knowledge and accuracy, but also in how one conducts oneself in and out of rehearsal with an attitude and personality that is amiable, courteous and respectful.
